Goats of Bangladesh
In 2014, Kadin and his friends came up with a unique idea for a Facebook page, which they dubbed “Goats of Bangladesh”. This page quickly became an internet sensation inspired by the popular “Humans of New York” trend. The page consisted of photos of goats submitted by members and followers, along with captions containing stories crafted by Kadin himself.
While it began as a parody, the page soon gained widespread attention from audiences around the world. In 2015, BBC Trending even visited Bangladesh to conduct an interview with the creators. The interview focused on the profound and philosophical approach that the page took in delighting audiences with its humorous content, which often touched upon social and political issues in Bangladesh and beyond.
Seven years later, “Goats of Bangladesh” is still going strong, with over 130,000 devoted followers on Facebook and another 6,000 on Instagram.
